It's partly on the players for not executing (Bortles, the OL, Fowler penalties, House). But my biggest problem was the play calling late in the 4th. Way too conservative. That is on Olson.

The problem isn't really Gus' in game coaching (although he makes tons of those blunders) it's the fact that he is so stubborn. He continues to use his defensive scheme when he doesn't have the players for it. He plays people like Arthur Brown or Pullard over Jack. He wants to be a run first offense when you have so many passing weapons. We should be passing early in downs to open it up for the run game instead of run first every drive.

 

And who knows what Olsen was told. Maybe he was told to run the ball late. Maybe he came up with it on his own. The real problem is Gus has the mentality of "Don't lose" instead of "Let's go get this win." The players have been told that winning isn't important but that getting better each day is. That is such a load of bull.
