You cut our starting SS, backup QB, and starting LG/backup LT. And then you made this ridiculous trade offer of Yeldon/Lee/2nd rounder for Collins (injured btw) and Morris.

As I said, when you fire a head coach during the season, you have to promote from within. Kiffin was the most qualified for the job. Old or not, he has experience and would be the best man for the job. Same thing when you fire a Coordinator, you have to promote from within. Who was I supposed to promote, our worst position coach? If I were to fire the staff and hire Bill Parcells as head coach and hire Tony Dungy and John Gruden as the Coordinatos, that would be a Madden move. I was being realistic as realistic as possible. 

 

Yes, I cut the starting Safety because he shouldn't be starting. I cut Henne because he's a waste and Brandon Allen should be the backup. I cut Joeckel because he has been a disappointment and will not be re-signed at the end of the season anyway. Why keep these guys? Why not trim the fat now? As for the trade, that was an offer. Why are you guys so opposed to inquiring about good players and making an offer on them? That makes no sense! As for Collins' injury, to be fair, when I wrote the offer, I didn't know he be missing the next 8-10 weeks.

 

All moves are perfectly logical if you refuse to settle for the same old, same old and you want to get ahead of the rebuilding.
