1.  If I fired Bradley and Olsen today, there is no way I name Kiffin the head coach.  He is taking a consultant role with the team because he is too old and doesn't have the energy to do coordinating.  If I'm doing the interim thing, Marrone would be the obvious choice.  He has head coaching experience and success.  Naturally if the decision is made to wait until the end of the season to make any coaching changes, the pool of potential coaches opens.

 

2.  I agree with your cuts-though they would not be immediate.  Those cuts will be after the season.  As for your trade proposal, there is no way Dallas agrees to any of those deals.  If we're doing short term, stop gap stuff, I'd kick the tires on Jahri Evans.

 

3.  Based upon the way Amukumara has played for us, I'd consider re-signing him, but we'll have to see how his health holds up.  He's already missed two games. 

 

4.  In the draft, I focus primarily on the OL.  I think I would take two tackles-left and right- and a LG.  Depending upon the scheme run by the new coach, I would take a DT too, preferably a big, run stuffing guy.

 

 

Thanks. I understand if you don't agree with promoting Kiffin. Everyone has different coaches that they prefer. Our offensive line play has been poor though. Marrone is in charge of the O-Line. If he can't improve the play of the O-Line, why promote him? Agreed about waiting until the end of the season to make a final choice, but until that happens, we need an interim head coach. 

 

Whether or not Dallas takes the deal, that would be my offer. If they refused, I move on, but there is no harm in at least inquiring. What is the worst that can happen, they say no? As for Evans, he is a pure OG and I'd be looking for a LT. 

 

Agreed about Amukamura's health, but when he is healthy, he's our most consistent CB. I have no problems with your focus in the draft. It makes sense. The one thing I would tweak would be the fact I would look for a Center. Right now, we are paper thin behind Linder.
