When making a change to anything, you need constant supervision if you are going to do it correctly. Even Tiger Woods never made a swing change on his own. 

 

My guess is Bortles bought into the hype, rested on his laurels. He probably had an idea of what he needed to work on but slowly went back to his old habits along the way.

 

Of course, if he did work with House this past off-season, my entire theory is debunked.
