I understand thinking this during draft evaluations, everyone would have said Blake has higher upside, but from what we have seen in 2.5 years since then I don't see how it is still a defensible position. 

 

I'd say Bortles is the better athlete. Equally as fast yet way bigger and stronger. Arm strength, meh, both have enough without having cannons. I'd say in terms of decsision making that as players, they're two sides of the same coin. Bortles is too reckless, Bridgewater is too conservative. Although I'd also add, I don't think that relates to upside as its something all QBs have to learn at the NFL level. Timing and accuracy, yeah, stats say Bridgewater, but he also doesn't try to do half of what Blake does and has much better support around him.

 

The upside argument basically centres around the fact that when Bortles looks good. He looks like a guy, that with a few tweaks, could be great. Teddy to me looks like he'll never be more than a Matt Ryan. Good, solid, not great, will need a great team around him if he's ever going to win anything.
