Chris Simms says to end Bortles experiment
|
Quote:We're leaving big plays and points on the field, our skill positions are loaded with dynamic players. Check out the third play in this article http://bigbored.com/just-how-bad-is-blake-bortles/, if Blake throws an accurate ball to the middle part of the field it's a long TD to Marqise Lee, if you watch the All-22 you'll notice guys running open all the time, Blake doesn't find them because he locks on to his primary read, and forces the ball. The play against Green Bay at the end of the game comes to mind, he forces the ball to Rashad Greene (who was held) but Allen Hurns was wide open, this QB misses rudimentary reads and is inaccurate on rudimentary passes. If Tom Brady (or any competent QB) played in this offense we'd drop 27-30 every week! That link sure is a big hard slap in the face and should knock the teal colored glasses off just about anybody that is wearing them, if they dare to read it. Sometimes the truth hurts and the truth is that the Jaguars offensive troubles just might extend beyond their awful head coach. I know BB5 will never be the most accurate QB, but after watching these past few games makes me wonder, how much more accurate can BB5 really become? Surely he can improve it, but realistically, how much more accurate can he really become? I have also noticed that he wasn't as natural a thrower as other QBs around the league are. His windup just takes more time, slows the throwing process down and just looks awkward at times and his throwing off the back foot sure doesn't help his cause. The lack of a running game and a below average offensive line, where he has to scramble most of the time, really hurts his development as a young QB trying to get better.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
