Or that Joeckel has value, but not as much as the price of the 5th year option.


 

I get that based on his draft position people are disappointed in his play. I am too. But he's still an average LT. Just about every team
 other than Dallas would be happy to have a backup LT as good as he is, who is also a starting guard (and much better than Beadles was). Consider it similar to the Alualu situation, with the additional fact that competent left tackles are a lot harder to find than competent defensive tackles.
