Secondary Improvements
|
A quarter through the season and we currently rank 5th in passing yards allowed per game after playing Rodgers, Rivers, Flacco & Luck.
Is this mainly do to the newly added talent on the back end (Ramsey, Gipson, Prince), Bradleys scheme in general, or the pass rush improvements? Except for the bomb that Luck threw last game, which was a busted coverage/miscommunication, I don't recall many long passes connected this season. (House gave up a bomb week 2). Is the presence of Gipson playing deep preventing some of these throws? Have not had a FS that can roam like he does....maybe ever. Ramsey can run step for step with anybody and is usually bigger/longer than the opposing WR. I'm sure this is having an effect as well. Just wanted to get some of your thoughts as this seems to be new territory for us Jags fans keeping QB's around the 200 yard passing mark. We show less advertisements to registered users.
