It is a debate tactic. You throw as many objectionable statements as possible at your opponent who obviously doesn't have time to respond to every one of them. How the hell is Pence going to defend 6 attacks against Trump in a 30 second response? Obviously he can't.

When the Clinton/Kaine strategy is to scream racist, misogynist, xenophobe, Islamophobia, etc after every single moderator question, you just have to sit back and laugh. It is scripted and robotic, just like how Rubio looked in New Hampshire.
