Defense has done pretty well defending long fields too (yeah, the San Diego game was ugly all around; but the offenses continual 3andOuts and Turnovers continued greatly to that).

It fell apart in the 4th qtr against Indy too (aided by blown coverages and penalties).

However, 3 out 4 games this season the defense has put together some solid periods:

6 points allowed vs GB in 2nd half,

6 points allowed vs BAL in 2nd half,

6 points allowed vs IND in almost 3 full qtrs.

Also, they got that INT vs INDY giving Jags the ball DEEP in scoring territory.

Plus, a Fumble Recovery and an INT in scoring territory vs BAL.

Defense has been playing some really good football for a good portion of this season to date.

Exactly. We've got to be careful though. Some of what you described sounds like 2nd half adjustments. We don't want to me around and act like coaching has anything to do with this.
