Taking a running back in the first round is a taboo for a lot of people these days but the way I see it...I think Fournette would be the best pick for us assuming we pick top 5 again. Looking at the roster and what will be available in the draft next year, running back is one of the only positions I think needs to be immediately upgraded and it will be the only position in the draft available to us that will have a superstar there (if not Fournette then Cook). You don't take a guard in the top 5 and there are no superstar OLineman like that in the draft anyway (imo), a secondary upgrade would be a luxury pick, and I think we just have to roll with what we have at the rest of the positions and let the young guys develop. Running back is the only position that fits need and value if we pick top 5...we shoot probably regardless of where we pick in the first round this year. And Dave has already shown he's not against drafting a RB high in the draft...if Gurley were not injured he would have been our pick at 3 in the 2015 draft.

 

Anyway, my personally, I would take Fournette right now, in the top 5. This team NEEDS a running game, Fournette is a superstar. Caldwell will need to produce a winning record next year and to do that he needs Bortles to play well. He has to give Bortles every chance to do well next year and that means giving him a running back that will take pressure off of him. Sign a OG in the offseason, draft Fournette, and get it rolling.
