And am I supposed to be surprised that Syrians who have been caught in the middle of a civil war that is over a decade old and have seen their families uprooted, gassed by their own government and killed en masse would prefer things how they were before? These people have been barely surviving and just want what we all want. Hard to have a normal life when this madness is at every corner.
