Who appointed the Emergency Manager?
Was the Emergency Manager appointed by a democratic election? Was he appointed by the city council people that were elected by the people of Flint? Or was he appointed by the Governor?
As for BLM, what's embarrassing, exactly? Is it embarrassing to you, as a black man? That you have to listen to people of your own party call the youth of your race terrorists? I'd find that embarrassing as well. I mean, how can you allow the entirety of your culture and your race to be called terrorists? That must indeed be embarrassing. How can you sit by like a self loathing black man? I feel sorry for you. Do you not have any pride in your own culture and race?
Have you really just become so subservient to the GOP, a party that hates you? That you'll just let them denounce your entire race? That's really sad. And yes, it's also very embarrassing. But I'm not the self loathing black man. You are. So it is embarrassing. But you are the one that should be embarrassed. No me.
Thank you for bringing this up. This lie is one of the reasons that I started this thread. There are entire generations of the black community that have been brainwashed into believing this. REPUBLICANS HATE BLACK PEOPLE... Okay... Why? "Because they don't want to raise taxes and GROW GOVERNMENT!" The minor premise of this emotional plea is that Marxist theory leads to an egalitarian post racial utopia that is actually good for people. The "GOP HATES BLACKS" crowd never points to a place like Detroit or Flint or any of the other cities in this country that have been hollowed out by uncompetitive tax policy, burdensome regulations and intrusive government. They never examine the fact that Social Security is both a bad deal and unsustainable. They never look at the fact that ignoring basic economic reality and using debt instruments like Christmas Stockings almost broke the economy (literally). All we get from them is "You support the party that HATES YOU." Garbage.
Now mind you, this isn't based on the party that wanted to continue slavery: Democrats
This isn't based on the party that promoted segregation: Democrats.
This isn't based on the party that filibustered it's own president to oppose the voting rights act: Democrats
This is based on the false premise that Higher taxes, more regulation, and less private sector growth is good for anyone let alone blacks. We're still waiting on the evidence to support that.
As for BLM, last I checked, if a group or groups of people directly advocate and condone violence then it is perfectly logical to denounce them as a terrorist organization. It's not like we have cops being executed in the streets or cities being burned down or anything right. But it's all about the "Party that HATES YOU!"
In Flint, Democrat city councils, a Democrat emergency manager and you blame the Governor who trusted them to figure it out? This is another part of the socialist/democrat/party that HATES YOU crowd. When governments are shown to be incompetent, or even criminally negligent they trot out the tired lie that "If we only took more of your money, then we would get it right!" as a nation we have 20 trillion dollars in debt, 22 plus trillion dollars spent since the declaration of the war on poverty, we just passed a trillion dollar stimulus in the middle of the greatest expansion of the federal government in the history of this country and when the state still can't provide drinkable or bathable water you still buy the notion "well if they just had more tax money."
There is a point where you cross over from reasoned discourse to willful ignorance to support your emotional "PARTY THAT HATES YOU." Narrative. Not only is it unproductive, but in far too many cases its dangerous. Why? Because it allows cancerous policies and conditions to continue where they would otherwise be held accountable. Chicago's level of violence is a disgrace to this Democracy. Detroit, once the shinning city on the hill, having nearly 50% unemployment and a trail of broken promises is a disgrace to this democracy. People like YOU trying to keep these people in the bondage of the state just because ANYTHING IS BETTER than the PARTY THAT HATES YOU is akin to Harriet Tubman's "I could have saved more had they KNOWN they were slaves!"

It's so bad, that while you go around spitting this counteracism rhetoric you don't even know that it was mainly democratic congressman from inner city districts that ADVOCATED for the tougher sentencing laws for crack cocaine because they saw the level of violence and despair that it created in their communities. When you actually go back and look at what Malcom X said and what MLK said, there is no way that they would be here with you spouting this pro-drug culture let the dope boy go rhetoric. the black community deserves its fair share of prosperity within the matrix of American Meritocracy. There are certain glaring areas that we need to grow in to achieve that. MORE DRUGS has nothing to do with it. MORE DRUG DEALERS has nothing to do with it. A HIP HOP CULTURE that promotes drug culture, misogyny, violence, murder etc. doesn't have anything to do with it.
It's almost like there is a leaky boat heading over a waterfall to certain death, but they keep tricking 60% of the black community to get in because they have a pants-suit and hot sauce in a DARN BAG!!!!
