If Caldwell/Bradley/Fisch saw Gabbert as having the ability to regroup and revive his career here after sitting behind a veteran for a while, he'd get an opportunity to get back on the field and prove himself.  The fact that he hasn't speaks volumes.  He's not their guy.  They'll get theirs hopefully in the off season.  Gabbert is damaged goods here, so if he's going to resurrect himself, he'll be doing it in another city.

 

Thanks for the laugh regarding Henne wanting some sort of blockbuster deal to stay in Jacksonville.  I'm sure other teams can't wait to beat down his door.  In the end, he'll most likely wind up the backup QB here in Jacksonville for another year.  Heck, Gabbert might be back next year too since he's under contract.  I'm not one of those who think he's going to be cut at the first possible opportunity.  There's no reason to do so.  But, I AM one of those who thinks that if he's sticking around, he's not going to be competing for a starting job.  He'll be fighting Henne, and any other QB on the roster to be the #2.  This team will get a QB next year, and that will be the guy they put their hopes in moving forward.
