I soured on MJD the past season or two, but seeing him start the season the way he did brought me back to all the good times he brought me, and the Jags. It was painful to watch. I'm glad he's gotten back on track a bit as of late. I'd love to see him stay another year or two in a Fred-Taylor-end-of-Jags-run role. I think he's shown he can still offer a bit and I've realized I'm just too garsh darn sentimental for this game of football. <_<

 

As for Brad, I really hope he retires at the end of this season. His play was able to be compensated for for the past couple of seasons, but its just not plausible to keep him around anymore. He's one of the great unsung heroes in Jags history and a great guy as well. I can't imagine the Jags paying him for another year of onfield service, and I just can't even begin to imagine him in another uniform. It was hard watching Freddy finish his career in a Pats uniform, and I hate watching Daryl out there in Baltimore now. I really hope Brad's satisfied with the career he's had and the legacy he'll leave behind and spare my poor nostalgic heart the pain of seeing him flail around out there for another team. Regardless, it doesn't really seem possible that he finds his way back onto the Jags roster next year, so I hope he gets the proper sendoff from the Jags faithful that he deserves.
