Tony's Support Is Getting Old
|
Quote:Bortles was an above average QB last year. He made major strides mechanically and looked to be well on his way to a top 10-12 QB this year. Unfortunately, his mechanics are out of whack now and that's causing a huge downgrade in accuracy. Yes, it is, but sadly that's just the start. He currently isn't able to read the field. He is hesitant even when guys are open. He decides where he's going before the snap and forces bad balls while guys run open on the other side. We're in year three and the only time he looks comfortable is when we give him half a field and one high / low read. On the upside, when he does throw a catchable ball, it's 50/50 on whether they drop it. So we have that going for us. |
