I don't believe a coach should ever tank.

 

Every single coach is supposed to try to make the players better.  The head coach is there to motivate the team and try to win as many games as possible.

 

The GM on the other hand, is able to "tank" by not re-signing aging but solid vets like Smith, and not breaking the bank on average FAs. 


In that regard, I do believe our GM has "Tanked"... he has set this team up for a very high draft position. 

 

Only "problem" (which isn't a problem at all, quite the opposite actually) is that Gus Bradley and the staff was able to improve the roster as the season went on and get some wins.  Overall, that is good news for this team.  You can't just tell Bradley and the team to lose games - it would undermine everything he stands for.
