I'm assuming you've played team sports.  There were tourneys I went into on by Basketball team where the tourney was done, and I cried about it as well.  But there was never a time I took the court, even in that last so called worthless game where I didn't want to win.  I just don't understand the statements Warner made.  Who-ever "Warner" was.  But if it was a statement from Kurt Warner, that guy is a loser and doesn't ever deserve to be in the HOF.

 

Heart and Pride is born from failure.  Joy and Happiness (in sports of course) comes from finding your failures and overcoming them.  When you give up, you're not failing, YOU ARE GIVING UP.  Big difference.  

 

If you can't give it your all when you know all is lost, what are you?  You're a loser.  Sorry, coming from how I learned to play team sports, that just how I feel.

 

I don't want to make too much of this, but I don't think I want Solid Snake on my team.

 

And Snake, you write in a style that makes it seem that you think you speak for others as well as yourself - the "that's all that matters" stuff. Says who?

 

Oh, and one last thing. Do you go to Jaguar games? Or I guess I should say, do you pay for Jaguar games? Well, I do. And excuse me if I don't meet your lofty "I know what's best for the team even if you rubes don't" standard, but I don't think it's out of line to expect the team to try it's hardest to win for the paying customers. 

 

You can play pretend GM at any time. The players, I hope, are trying to win games.
