Bortles on pace for 27 TDs and 4,352 yards

Quote:Translation: let's go draft a 15-21 TD QB like Leftwich, Garrard, or Gabbert.

That will help this team with no defense.
You know what's hilarious? Blake only has 1 more win than Gabbert this year.

Stop defending Blake and read what I'm about to write. Don't get angry and deflect from what I'm about to say. Ok?

The coaching staff is awful. We all know that. However, some blame must be placed on the QB too. It's the same problem I had before when people would say "You can't blame Gus for the first 3 years. He didn't have the players he needed." Thats bogus. A great coach and a great QB lift their teams to a place higher than their potential. Luck has had an awful defense pretty much his entire time in Indy. Blake turns the ball over too much and his throws are generally off target. Too many low passes, he doesn't hit receivers in stride often and he misses WIDE open players. Like the crossing route last night on 3rd and 5 when he sailed it over their head.

Stop making excuses for the kid and realize he's part of the problem. He's not the only one because god knows we have a bunch but you can't sit their claim he's a franchise QB. He's not and he's really not even close. Mariota was by far the best QB on the field last night. Hitting receivers in stride, making good reads, and most of all, winning the game.
