Babin Wants to Stay- Would Be Willing to Take A Paycut
|
Quote:This year Babin, at 33, has averaged less than 2 tackles per game and has 5.5 sacks. His production can be replaced with developing youth. I appreciate that he would take a paycut to stay, for like of the team culture and community. But, his production would not have justified his raise to a $6m 2014 base salary anyway. Another year...maybe, depending upon who they take in the draft.Considering his age and his production he'd have to be a minimum salary guy to even stay in the league at this point. Like I said, of course he is talking a great game about how bought in he is, he wants to keep the money flowing for one more year before the NFL realizes he's just another old player that doesn't make a difference. |
