OFFENSIVE vs DEFENSIVE IMPROVEMENT UNDER GUS

#31

Quote:Here's something to ponder:

(although space will just flat out deny it or not get it)

ARob rookie year - had a case of the drops

Bortles rookie year - mechanics not that good

ARob 2nd year - much better catching the ball

Bortles 2nd year - much improved mechanics

ARob 3rd year - getting a case of the drops again

Bortles 3rd year - severe mechanics regression (back to his rookie year mechanics)

I cannot say that AROB's drops are directly caused by this. However, there IS a correlation there.

And, it is known that ball trajectory, accuracy, speed, spinning ability DOES affect the ease of catching it.

So,,,,,?
A-Rob did not have problems with drops his rookie year. That was Hurns.
