A&M may like their spot now but they definitely don't control their own destiny. Obviously Washington winning out with jump them.  Ohio St winning out would jump them.  Wisconsin winning out and taking the Big 10 title could jump them. Same with Nebraska.  

 

Louisville in a tough spot.  They need to win out and need lots of help.  Not many great games left on their schedule.  And they need Clemson to lose twice if they want a chance at conference title.

 

I don't have the numbers in front of me but based on what they were showing on ESPN earlier, in each of that last two years, only one team that started off in the initial top 4 eventually made the playoff.  If I were a betting man, I'd say more than one of these teams in the top 4 will make it.  Doesn't look like anything will slow Michigan down.  And Bama seems tough to beat.  Clemson is looking a little shaky to me. 

 

Wisconsin needs Nebraska to lose at least one more game. Even if that happens and Wisconsin wins the BTCG, I doubt a two-loss team would be selected because there can only be four teams.

 

Louisville is shot. It would be a miracle for them if Clemson loses twice.

 

Ohio State and Nebraska can't both win out. They meet Saturday night. That game might be a BTCG preview. But don't forget Michigan, who must beat OSU to win the Big Ten East.

 

That team was Alabama.
