I agree with you. We have (at least on paper) dramatically improved the talent on the field. The probable reason(s) the team isn't doing better falls mostly (though not exclusively) on the coaching. A secondary (though significant) reason is the poor prioritizing of player selection by the GM. We should have been putting more emphasis on building the o-line rather than 'big name' defenders who aren't doing squat to really help us.

 

As I have reiterated over and over... it's a timeless truism in football: the games are won or lost in the trenches... not by glitzy quarterbacks, nor mouthy receivers. The o-line makes or breaks those guys.
