Since 1995, the Chiefs have had a total of 9 losing seasons and and 4 were 7-9 years.

Since 2007, the Jags have had 6 consecutive losing seasons, 8 out of 9, and 12 out of 17. 

 

Plus the Chiefs have been there since 60's. The original generation of Chiefs fans who were children can go to games with their grandchildren now. Jaguars don't have the legacy of fandom to represent for 6 consecutive losing seasons.

 

All the players speaking out have to remember that the fans who are booing or not making noise have watching the Jaguars for those 17 years. They are numb to losing and not easily won back, especially when the team is not even watchable much less winning.

 

Just because the players did not witness those years, does not mean they should not recognize that. They should realize that and understand that "challenging" and "chastising" this fan base won't win hearts.
