Is Bortles just not smart enough?

Honestly, having just re-watched all of his interceptions none of them are patently bad decisions. Just terrible throws. He had two to Lee where Lee was open but Bortles put it behind him. If those were on the numbers they would have been easy completions. Another to Robinson in the Ravens game needed a bit more air under it and it would have been perfectly over the top of the LB and under the DB.
Even the first pick against the Raiders could have been avoided with more accuracy. Throw that pass 3 to 4 yards deeper and it would have been one of those "incomplete or great play by the WR" type plays. |
