We had no pouch to carry the carcass so dad poked a sharpened stick between the tendon and bone of one leg, through one of my belt loops and then through the other leg. I finished the morning with three rabbit carcasses thumping against my legs as I walked. Mom fried them up in her unrivaled chicken breading and it was heavenly.
