The DE/OLB hybrids are the ones that are racking up the sacks/QB pressures, so regardless of scheme, ignoring them would be insane. The guys at the top of this pass-rusher class can actually do the things that Dante can't and I'd rather bank on that than gamble that a 4th/5th rounder will play above his draft position. Those DE/OLB types are fine if you run a 3-4 scheme or if you actually have a coach who knows how to utilize a 4-3 hybrid scheme, but I'm going under the assumption that we will probably run a conventional 4-3 scheme next season with a new head coach. |
