No he would not. The Redskins outbid the Browns for the 2nd overall pick by adding an additional 2nd round. Otherwise, the Rams would have traded that pick to the Browns. The Browns traded up 1 spot (from #4 to #3) to take Trent Richardson (lol) and then traded up into the first round to take 29 year old Weeden at late #20-ish. What on Earth made you believe RG3 was going to be available at pick #6?


And beside, people keep bashing the Redskins for the trade without actually understanding why they currently struggle this year. Obviously his recovering from the knee injury was a huge factor for his struggling because he didn't have an off-season to work on hiscraft, and missing out on two first round picks in that trade is also a factor. However, the biggest blow was when Roger Goodell handed them that combined $30+ million cap penalty for the year 2012 and 2013 -- and that penalty announcement was right after they made the RG3 trade official with the Rams before the draft.


I am confident and willing to bet that when it's all said and done, the Redskins will be the winner of that trade.
