Some black people refer to themselves as black, others as African American, other as colored. Same as homosexuals, gay, alternative, lesbian.


But if a straight white person says the wrong terminology to the "wrong person"...they get offended.

Let me just make you aware, you will NEVER hear an LGBT person describe themselves as "living an alternative lifestyle." That's a term people who know jack [BLEEP] about LGBT people use and implies people are gay by choice. If the thought of getting down with a same sex partner is wholly unappealing to you, that means you are straight and could not "choose" a "lifestyle" that would magically make it something you want to do.
