There is too much evidence to bury your head in the sand and deny it. But Trump just appointed a guy who will not get in his way when he wants to make these decisions which impact everyone. This move shows there is a 0% chance a Trump presidency will decrease pollution. Probably pretty low on everyone's list of priorities until it becomes a problem. Whereas other countries are innovative with respect to clean and renewable energy, we are still not really investing there.
