Since I already know the answer, I'll jump straight to the bedrock of my argument; opioids with a much higher chance of addiction and much greater health risks than MJ are already legal, so why shouldn't marijuana be as well?
Because it cuts into the massive profits for the pharmaceutical industry? Same reason vaping has been targeted so hard by them. Not that this is the poster's opinion but it is definitely the case.
