I have pulled for the Jags every game until today. If they win today and possibly next week (if Indy rests the starters), they could pick as low as 8th. If they do lose the last two and pick 3rd, I would take Bridgewater (obviously) in case Houston passes on him and St. Louis stays with Bradford. This is possible, but unlikely. If Houston does take Teddy, the Jags get either Clowney or Barr. I'd be fine with that and if Mack's stock continues to rise he is also a possibility.

 

The next pick must be a quarterback. I cannot say I have a favorite choice at this time. McCarron is a definite possibility with all he brings to the table. His leadership, pocket presence, intelligence and accuracy are excellent. If he proves to Caldwell during the combine and senior bowl that he can make all the throws, he could turn out to be a huge steal in the 2nd round. I say "no" to Carr after last night. Boyd's stock has also dropped since the start of the year. Johnny Manziel is the wildcard in my mind. Like McCarron, he also brings alot to the table. He is very exciting to watch and would bring attention to the Jaguars. The only question I have about him is his durability after taking big hits week after week in the NFL. If he is still sitting there after pick 20-25, I might try to trade up for him if the price was reasonable (2nd and 3rd or 2nd and 4th). That way, the Jags 2 biggest needs have been addressed with potentially elite players.
