The Jags would be wise to extend Marqise Lee

#39

Quote:It depends on how much it cost to retain Lee, it shouldn't be much. Outside of A-Rob, Linder, and Telvin, who else do the Jags have to pay? This team has plenty of cap space, especially considering they won't have to pay Bortles. Lee has surpassed Hurns at this point, I'd rather lock up Lee and make the tough decision on Hurns after the 2017 season.
I think Lee will have to get 6-8 million AAV, maybe more. Don't see why he couldn't get close to Hurns on the open market.

The highest total team salary for the WR position is the Cardinals at 26 million. Add Arob getting ~15 mil a year and that's at least 30 million + probably 3 more million in the rest of the WR depth.

It is technically possible yes, but do you really think we would lead the entire league in positional payroll by 30% over #2? I just don't think that happens.
