"Communism isn't a bad thing" is an opinion btw.  That doesn't make them indoctrinated at all.  People can independently form that opinion, believe it or not.  You're free to disagree with that opinion (I disagree as well).  But it's still an opinion.  Neither objectively right nor wrong.

 

Also, this country is absolutely a democracy.  We're a representative democratic republic.  We're not a DIRECT democracy, but it's not wrong to say that we're a democracy.  
 

"Communism isn't a bad thing" is actually a very wrong opinion that is taught as a "correct" fact, much like socialism.

 

It is wrong to say that we are a democracy because in a democracy "majority rules".  That isn't the case for us.
