Do NFL teams simply over analyze or don't do enough HW?

#4

Dak fell because of his DUI charges (which were later dropped) in March just a month before the draft. And I think after you consider the Johnny Manziel saga the Browns went through it was even more scary for teams to pull the trigger on him. Dak was always talented in college. There was no denying nor doubting his ability. It's translated just fine to his game for the Cowboys. I don't know if he'd be 10 - 1 anywhere else but Dallas but from what I've seen when he's playing he looks like a damn NFL QB. He's confident, calm, poised, relaxed and just never seems to be overly rattled or making mistakes with the football. One week he'll throw for 300+ yards and beat you. Or, he'll play it smart and get it done. But I think you not only have to look at the talent around him. But look at the coaching. Garret get's a ton of credit because he's the head man. But they've got Scott Lienehan as the OC whose been a HC before. They've got Bill Callahan there too I think as an offensive lineman coach and assistance. They're just back loaded and front loaded with great coaches and talent and it's clearly reflecting. And I can't discredit this kid at all. I understand the lineman are great. But that team was TOAST last year without Romo. Prescott has certainly played better than an average quarterback. He's certainly done nothing to cost them any games this year. Because had he not been succesfull there's a good chance Romo is already back in the saddle.
