***The Official Whatcha Cookin' For Thanksgiving Thread***
|
We had grilled sirloin, Brussels sprouts and green beans. It was delicious.
I found out over the last few days why I don't cook thanksgiving and Christmas meals. Apparently my mom rarely cooked it when I was growing up and when she did it was all very low key. Our family was all out in Colorado so we didn't have big family shindigs. I never remembered one way or the other. The opposite of this is my mother-in-law made every holiday (and special birthday) meal when my husband was growing up and made a huge fuss over it all. Thankfully my husband doesn't expect that from me. He would be sorely disappointed. We are pretty much required to be at their house during these occasions though. |
