We need someone to come in who can look at this roster through an unbiased lens and do what needs to be done without doing things that might save their job.

 

   A fair question that I think should be raised is does Shad Khan have enough football knowledge to make the proper evaluation whether to continue with Dave Caldwell as GM or go in another direction instead?   

 

 Dave Caldwell has improved the Jaguars roster substantially.   Yet,  because of some of the key mistakes that Caldwell has already made,  with the jury still out on some of the team's high draft picks,  it seems like a difficult call whether Caldwell should be retained.   So much should depend on what type of improvements has Caldwell planned for 2017 and beyond.    That's what Khan probably should ask Caldwell about in the coming weeks.
