New Playoff Rankings are out

Trav, I was thinking about the year (2011?) when the Big 12 had three Top 10 teams in its South division. The conference said its South representative in the CCG would be the one ranked highest in the FBS standings. Granted it was before a CFP committee was formed but the fact they chose a Top 25 poll as the three-way tiebreaker tells me the Big 10 is not obligated to strictly choose the team with the best conference record. They could have picked Ohio State based on FBS rankings like the Big 12 did, but chose not to. So yes, it is a shame on Jim Delany and his staff in Chicago.
