Quote:1. Derrick Harvey - Gave up a lot to get him. 8.0 career NFL sacks in less than 50 starts I believe. Last rookie to sign his deal too in 2008. 

 

2. Blaine Gabbert - Gave up a 2nd round pick to move up to get him. Never looked like an NFL caliber QB in the pocket. Played like a coward. 

 

3. Justin Blackmon - Teased us with potential more than Reggie and Matt ever did but couldn't overcome his demons off the field. 

 

4. Reggie Williams - One good year in the red zone but never cracked more than 60 catches or 650 yards in a single season. He was another pot head. 

 

5. Matt Jones - Lazy and got by with just pure athletic ability. Couldn't overcome his demons but could have been a solid player for years to come. 

 

6. Blake Bortles - Not looking good future wise. Too many turnovers. Heavy regression this season. May never recover. 

 

7. Luke Joeckel - 2013 had a weak first round class but he's now finished up on IR twice in his four years here in Jacksonville. Never lived up to his status. 

 

8. R.J Soward - Another kid with the off the field demons he couldn't overcome. Doesn't sting as bad Matt, Reggie and Justin though now in our overall history. 

 

9. Tyson Alualu - Good man on and off the field. Not really his fault he was over drafted by a whole round. But it hurts to see him with only 17.5 career sacks. Especially when we passed on Jason Pierre-Paul who has 50.0 career sacks and also Earl Thomas who has been a pro-bowl caliber FS for years now. 

 

10. Byron Leftwich - As ugly as his mechanics and footwork were from the pocket. He's the only first round QB to ever be drafted by this franchise and leave Jacksonville with a winning record (24 - 20) during his tenure here in Jacksonville. Bortles and Gabbert combine for (15 - 53) during their tenures here.
