Here is the thing though.  Neither Fred Nor Tony was labeled a bust and then turned it all around on the field like Jimmy did.   Due to many previous injuries in dallas and a short stint in phili in which he was cut.   He not only fully recovered but is still the best receiver we have had in history.  So though Freddie was electrifying and so was Tony but short lived.  

 

If you account for total body of work in a much harder league where receiver hits was much more common and a lot harder than today's game.  I have to say Jimmy is. But it very close. 

 

Now if ask who is the best rb or o line  Then hands down Freddie and Tony.  But overall despite off the field problems.  To be one of the most electrifying receivers.  In a time where running backs dominated and a much harder game as far as hits for receivers.  In my opinion, it has to go to Jimmy.  Plus in 9 out of 10 years as a Jaguars he had consecutive 1,000 plus receiving yards.  

 

That is unheard of in a much harder hitting game. Not including the 7 franchise records still held today.  And 3 Nfl records which one still splits today which a much easier game for receivers.

 

He is a legend.  And deserves to be the best ever all time in Jax.  Cause players who suffer from numerous injuries.  End up just a  special teamer.  Then end up cut from a different team.  Do not end up with all that,  unless they are meant for greatness.
