Just a question that I have always wondered... Why don't teams in serious need of a quarterback draft 4 or 5, or even an entire draft of them? Make the entire offseason about competing and see who rises to the top. At the very least, you would have a quarterback who is better than 7, 8 or 9 other options. Teams frequently give up entire drafts and future drafts to move up for one quarterback, why not just grab 7?
I understand it would be difficult to find enough snaps to evaluate that many qbs, but if you went into the process knowing you were going to do that, you could adjust and make it work. |
