Mike Smith's sideline demeanor is also polar opposite of Bradley's......he's animated, more engaged with players for good plays and bad.....much more energy.  The players feed off that energy.  

 

I think the trend we are seeing with NFL coaches is that the 2nd time around is were they see more success....this is even true of Bill Belichick (some never figure it out, like Rex Ryan).  When going into a new situation they have past history of what they did right, and perhaps most importantly, what they did wrong, to draw from. Mike Smith can be that guy. We need certainty that they know exactly what to do and how to do it. With the exasperation of this fan base and this franchise, we need to play it safe with a coach with multiple years on their resume at HC with playoff appearances and avoid the first timers......We just can't sustain another flop like Gus.
