Marquette King is one the best punters in the league, by your logic the Raiders should have completely ignored him because he is black and there has never been a good black punter before.

While I agree with you in principle, I disagree with you regarding the emphasized portion.

 

There were at least two pretty good black punters prior to King.

 

The Vikings had a punter in the early to mid 1980s named Greg Coleman.  http://www.pro-football-reference.com/pl...leGr20.htm

 

A higher profile guy, especially in these parts, was Reggie Roby, who had a very good career punting for the Dolphins during the Marino era.  He played for 15 years and was a 3 time Pro Bowler.
