What scouts are saying about Teddy Bridgewater
|
Quote:So why is he listed as 6-3? I hate it when teams don't list players at exactly the height they really are with their shoes and socks off. I can understand if they count hair, but most players have straight, short hair, so that is rarely a problem. A QB who is 6'1" gets discounted immediately by scouts because Drew Brees is a rare exception. In the last 10 years we've had 2 short QBs be successful in the NFL and teams will not risk a high pick on a guy who doesn't fit the template. Assessments of players are based on their weaknesses because NFL coordinators are adept at forcing you to do what you aren't good at, and a guy who doesn't do anything exceptional doesn't last. Edit: I'm not saying TB is a guy who doesn't do anything great, just talking in general terms. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato
