Bridgewater is a twig compared to Brunell. 

 

Brunell may only have been 6'1 or 6' 2" at best....but he was solid. Like 215 or 220. His legs weren't the toothpicks that Bridgewaters are. Brunell also was extremely strong for a QB. I think I read somewhere that he was a gym rat and big into the weightlifting back in his Jags playing days. 

 

Who is to say Bridgewater won't be a gym rat?  I just don't see him being that fragile or that skinny.  He's long and kind of lanky, but he's also super young.  I was long and skinny at that age too, and I'm far from that now.  A few years of dedicated working out and eading well will get him bigger. 

 

To me though, the biggest issue is the QB style.... he doesn't run around like a chicken with his head cut off...  He should be fine, even if he stays at the same weight as he is now.  Smart QBs won't take huge hits. 

 

Think of Peyton Manning - the guy hasn't taken 5 bonecrushing hits in his entire career it seems.
