I think the crazy roller coaster of coaches having input on his throwing motion since he became a Jaguar has left him utterly confused. 

Between Fisch, Scelfo, Olson, Hackett and House all having something to say -- I believe he's suffered from too many cooks in the kitchen. 

 

Will more time with House help?  I have no idea. I'm less inclined to see a retired baseball player as the guy to help him than some.

 Whatever they do - I really hope that the new QB coach (or Hackett if he gets the job) can really get on the same page as House and Bortles and integrate House's efforts with some real NFL footwork development.  Bortles' reluctance to step into throws in 2016 has been dumbfounding to witness.  

 

nobody will help him with his throwing motion.  He is who he is.  The sooner people realize that, the better.  He's not the guy.  He never was and he never will be, period.  I hope the new coach sees this as well and drafts/signs some competition.  Even decent competition like Brian Hoyer would more than likely beat out Bortles if the competition was fair.  Problem is, the offseason doesn't have nearly enough snaps to go around for a true competition to take place.
