It's just that technique trumps size if all else is equal.


A 300-305lb guy with good technique is a much better player than a 320-325 lb guy without good technique.


Cann is 313 and gets blown away and gets put on skates worse than anyone.


Weight without technique makes you as soft as a practice dummy.


The average is around 315. Give me a guy with technique 5-10lbs under that mark every day of the week vs one that's 5-10lbs over without it.

There aren't going to be huge technique differences between a good defensive tackle and a good guard at the NFL level. College or high school, sure. Size and strength is every bit as important as technique at an NFL level where starting level players already know how to play with hands and leverage and have been honing it for decades. It doesn't matter how much technique a 290 pound center has, he will not be able to move a beefy 350 pound nose tackle unless he just sucks.
