If we win 2-3 games again, things COULD get interesting. I really don't see that seriously happening. Look at all these close losses we've had and all the youth/rookies players on defense (minus Myles Jack which is insane). Things can obviously turn just like our offense this year, but I don't see how the hell a coach could be nearly as incompetent as Gus. Especially with the list of candidates we're seeing (all better than Gus).

 

That's exactly what I am telling you. Defense still needs work. We lack playmakers off the edge and we lack playmakers in the turnover battle. And I can just as EASILY take your argument about losing close games this year to bolster my argument. If we're within 10 points a game that should be reasonable enough to expect the next coach to find a way to pressure the opposing QB more. To find ways to create or make turnovers. It should be on the next coach to find a QB capable of not gifting points away like Bortles or at least changing his style to protect us better. 

 

7 wins or breaking even at .500 is reasonable.
