I have to roll with you on this one too. I was never a Gus fan, but I don't know if you can really draw a one to one correlation between todays game and Gus not being here. Did it influence the players effort? I guess the results we saw on the field would suggest it did, but I don't know that I would attribute it all simply to Gus not being here.
