He would have to cut Brandon Allen if he did that, which I guess is possible, but I don't see that happening if Dave is making the picks. Why? We know what's out there in free agency and it's garbage. I don't see anyone who is available who would push Bortles for the starting spot. I believe we'd at least have a chance to find good QB via the draft in the late rounds (no matter how small the odds), but all you'll get in free agency is a bunch of scrubs, unless somehow Cousins is allowed leave Washington, (which is nearly impossible) or we pay $15-17 million for Mike Glennon, who could turn out to be a bust as well. |
